Who We Are
The Oakland County Deputy Sheriffs Association Family Benevolent Fund (OCDSA FBF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, operating independently from the OCDSA. As a dedicated non-profit, we are committed to serving our community with unwavering dedication and integrity. Our organization is entirely volunteer-based, led by current and former deputies of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office, ensuring a deep, personal understanding of the challenges faced by those we serve.

Our primary mission is to provide temporary financial assistance to individuals struggling with daily living expenses, as well as medical and prescription costs exceeding insurance coverage, due to serious illness, accidents, or the loss of a family’s primary income earner. Additionally, the Fund supports those facing financial hardships due to natural disasters.

We take great pride in our operational efficiency, with only 2% of our funds used for administrative costs, allowing 98 cents of every dollar to go directly toward assisting those in need within our community.
